Bangkok: Land of Smiles (Part 1)

Yeay we had a family trip to BANGKOK last month!
After hearing all its fabulousness (good food, nice people, cheap clothes) from so many people, we finally set our foots on the land of smiles!!! ^___^

I even restrained myself from shopping one week (it's a big deal to me) before the trip so i don't feel guilty for being extravagant in Bangkok lolol! Maybe i really got this compulsive shopping disorder (i searched from internet one wtf).
But really, how to resist when everything is so fucking cheap????!!!!!

i love love love Bangkok so much!!!!!!

Touched down at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Bangkok Airport is ultra big! It's the largest in Asia! O_O
Their duty-free shopping area is big enough to forget your original plan is not about shopping in an airport. I won't doubt a bit if there are people finish their budgets even before visiting the city!
Pink cabs and messy cables. The trademarks of Thailand.
Lobby of our hotel

We were staying at Baiyoke Boutique Hotel, which recommended by my sister's colleague.
Since it's a boutique hotel, the price is not overrating. The location is very convenient. AND, their service is remarkably good.
The staffs at the entrance helped us alot during our stay. They would negotiate the taxi fare with cabbie for us, and if the cabbie charges us too expensive, they would tell us and we would wait for another cab. See how honest they are. They don't cooperate with the cabbies to earn commission.

Brother bought this stupid lizard. Fake one. =____=

Me and my first coconut in Bangkok!

Terrorist hahah!!
We went to MBK and there's a cosplay event outside. i must admit that thai teenagers are very cool.

NaRaYa!!

All the women went crazy at here lor, buy like everything's free lolol.
Spent almost 1000 baht in this shop. O_O

Bangkok is especially beautiful at night.

Having dinner at Siam Paragon. Both my brothers' gfs joining the trip too.

Siam Paragon is quite a classy shopping mall. There are a number of restaurants can be found at the ground floor and we just randomly picked one that serves thai cuisine.

This is also where i ran across a lot of pretty thai girls. I couldn't help but to gawk at them all the time with my brothers lol.
Tall, fair, small faces and fashionable. For one second i wish to convince myself that they all underwent plastic surgery or they're simply transgender.
But hell no.
Girls from Bangkok are simply gorgeous.
And even if they were really transgender, their wardrobe is surely more happening than mine wtf.

Ok here's some food we ordered that night.

Tomyam finally!

Baked potatoes and grilled fish. Love this one!

Fried rice. SUPER NICE. All fried rice i had eaten in Bangkok is nice!!! Y like this???

Mango salad which was very appetizing!!

Dad with the shark. He asked for this picture himself one lolol.

Guess where we were?

In the TUK-TUK!!!

We should really have this in Malaysia. Cheap, fun, exciting, scary and dangerous wtf. The driver deliberately drove it very fast to make us scream like fuck. Even scarier than roller coaster.

Mumsy also very enjoyed hahah!

Dressing up coz we're heading to a night club later!! Didn't wear make-up that night coz i was exhausted but i regretted very soon wtf.

At Route 66 club.
It's located at somewhere called Royal City Avenue (RCA), a nightlife zone. Many other clubs can be found here but we choose route 66 because it's famous!
Route 66 is divided to four themes. You can either dance until your heads off or just sit down and listen to the live music. So it's suitable for family like us.

Sister and me!

Lesson: NEVER go to a club without make-up and high heels. NEVER.

How happening is this?! Haven't seen any clubs in KL like this!

Brother is happy coz cigar is cheap here. Liquor is also cheap!!

Drunk people.

We all drank too much that night. i wasn't drunk anyway. But i remembered me wobbling on the street, almost throwing up in the cab, and finally toilet hugging in the hotel for the rest of the night lol.

The next morning, we went Chatuchak Weekend Market (it's lil surprising that i managed to wake up thou).
It's the largest market in Thailand and probably the world. That's why we need a map. But we still lost ourselves.

Colorful fruits!

They say you can find anything in this place. But it's impossible to shop the whole market in one day. Plus imho the place is not well-ventilated and i was almost suffocated. So we spent like only 3-4 hours and surrendered.

Even doggies are sold!

Sweetest orange juice i've ever tried.

Me again in case you forget lol.

Some medicine-selling lady.

Platinum shopping mall! Paradise for ladies!

Pork burger of Mcdonald before a frantic retail therapy.

Brothers both bought this mickey sunglasses from Chatuchak. =____=

We spent another 3-4 hours in Platinum and the guys started to complaint lol. Yeay we shopped too much i guess. But how to resist when everything is so cheap and pretty?!!!!!

At Baiyoke Sky Hotel for buffet dinner. It's just next to our hotel, except that it is the tallest hotel in Thailand. Cannot afford to stay but at least can eat here.

Food is mediocre.

But the night view has made up for it. it's gorgeous.

Erm, if you wonder what they're doing...

they were actually taking picture of this horoscopic ceiling. LOL.

Papa asked for another picture with this chef. Wonder why he likes statues so much lolol.

Last pic of this post! Me wearing a long dress bought from chatuchak!

Stay tuned for part 2!
